IEEE Transaction on Parallel and Distributed Systems seeks original
manuscripts
for a Special Issue on Dependable Network Computing,
scheduled to appear in the January issue of 2001. Articles concerning
fundamental research and practical experience reports are solicited. The topics
of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Design Techniques for Achieving Dependability across the Layers and
Tiers of Massive Networked Systems
- Dependable High-Speed Wide, Local, and System Area Networks
- Dependable Distributed Mobile Computing
- Reliable Group Communications Protocols in Computer Networks
- Scalable and Reliable Distributed Servers, Internet Servers,
Embedded Servers
- Reliable Scheduling, Load Balancing and Caching in Networked Systems
- Verification and Validation of Networked Systems and their Protocols
- Practical experiences and prototypes
Submitted articles must not have been previously published or currently
submitted for publication elsewhere.

Authors should submit their original work to the guest editor by March 1, 2000,
formatted according to the instructions below.
Notification of acceptance will be sent June 15, 2000. Final publication
materials for accepted papers will be due September 1, 2000.
